Motivation is an outward pull and inspiration is an inward tug. Inspiration is a continual flow that needs no outside incentives to keep the juices moving and motivation is just the opposite. Motivation is not sustainable unless enticed by outside forces and most of the time it is interrupted. Inspiration is an allowing that is a continued renewal of creativity coming from the essence of who we really are. During inspiration nothing can be forced or pushed against.You are just tuned in, tapped in and ready to receive. My guess is art created by inspiration would be so much more passionate than art created by motivation.
